Nightly homework: Reading a book for at least 20 min! Students have November one pager books and Newbery medal/honor books to be reading. November one pager date is 12/2. Students also have a packet to complete as they read their Newbery book- the book and packet must be completed by 12/14.
*December book orders are due by 12/11. Students received an email with online ordering instructions. Paper forms are also available in my room. If any parent would like to order books as gifts and keep them a surprise, just contact me and I can make arrangements for you. If you order online, our class code is G2BTV. Monday: Memoir, Biography, and Autobiography notes, comparing two 9/11 memoirs, citing specific text evidence activity (done in class)
Tuesday: Fluency groups- reading and presenting a readers theater play (graded)
Wednesday: Scope article, then student-led Socratic discussion (graded)
Thursday: No School- Happy Thanksgiving!
Friday: No School
