Social Studies News: 12/17

We have our Rome Unit Test coming up tomorrow--students have gotten a study guide and have completed review materials in class as well.  All assignments associated with our unit should be attached in each student's Social Studies notebooks.

With the short, 2-day week next week, we won't have any assignments that will be due.  Students will be getting their tests back and we'll be introducing our next unit.

**Also, yesterday in Social Studies, I gave each student a "Grade Report Update."  This was a half sheet that should have been attached into their SS notebooks.  It shows what each student's grades would be in each of the 4 Social Studies standards if the quarter ended today.  Students have had opportunities to reach the "Advanced" level in each of the 4 standards so far this quarter.  Ask your favorite 6th grader how they're doing so far this quarter in Social Studies! **
