ELA News & Reminder to Read!

We have been busy so far in 2nd quarter, and we will continue the momentum when we return from break.  We will be continuing our 3rd round of nonfiction reading and research on high-interest topics.  There will be reading record (number 8) due on Wednesday, January 2nd, but no metalogs until the following week.  Once we return in January, there are only a few weeks until the end of the quarter, so it is critical for students to take care of any outstanding assignments that they are missing sooner than later.

I want to remind you to encourage your child to do some reading for pleasure over break.  Even if reading isn't their "favorite" activity, having them choose a book and reading a little each day goes a long way in helping them become a better reader!

Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Swimming Unit Begins January 7th

Mrs. Serstad/Reddeman´s phy-ed classes will begin the swimming unit on Monday, January 7th.  Students will need to bring their swimming suits, towels, and something to put their wet items in.  This is the first Monday after break.  A reminder will be sent via Infinite Campus as the date draws nearer.  Please contact the office with any questions.
