Welcome to Mrs. Rogness's 6th Grade ELA!

It has been a wonderful morning greeting my students and jumping off to an exciting new year!  Students set up their binders today, learned about the classroom, set expectations for our class, and reflected on their own reading/writing lives.  This blog is a place that I typically post toward the end of the week about the upcoming week so that you can see important information, deadlines, and what we are learning about.  Here's the information for the remainder of this week:

Tuesday:  Set up & Expectations
homework:  Think about (or bring in examples of) things people read (recipes, cereal boxes, instructions of all kinds, manuals, ads, captions, etc.)

Wednesday:  Reflection & Survey
homework:  Read 20 min

Thursday:  Reading process & Book Walk
homework:  Read 20 min

Friday:  Thinking about Character
homework:  Read 20 min
