This past week we have started our chemistry unit looking at atoms, elements, and the periodic table. We will continue with these concepts throughout this week, and the students will be choosing an element of their choice to do a research project about. This project will be done in class and the students will present their findings on Thursday. Friday, we will have the first part of our chemistry unit assessment.
Monday: Atomic Structure Drawings, Read and Summarize "Element 117" article (in class), Introduce Element Project
Tuesday: Element Project Work Time, Choosing 2 Elements Writing Activity
Wednesday: Element Project Work Time, Physical Matter Lab and Conclusion
Thursday: Present Element Projects, Element and Compounds Lesson
Friday: Chemistry Unit Test- Part 1, Mixture and Solution Notes
