Science News Week of Sept. 7-10
Science is off to a great start! This week we are continuing to learn about the Metric System. We will also talk about the Scientific Process and will begin our first set of labs on variables. Below is an overview of science this week:

Math News Week of Sept. 7-10
We are off to a great start in 6th grade math! We now have our textbooks and are ready to get into our math workshop rotations on Tuesday. Our first chapter focuses on operations with decimals and exponents. Here is a look at the assignments we have coming up for the week.

Hello and welcome to sixth grade math! Here are a few of our plans and early assignments! Just a reminder, students should bring either a brown paper grocery bag OR a book cover for Friday so that we can cover our textbooks.

Welcome to 6th Grade Science!

This week in Science:
This week we analyzed our designs for our toy cars and then finally started building! The students are very creative and are building some awesome looking cars!

Next week we will finish building, start running tests on our cars and collect data. Then we will start thinking about how to sell our car to the company executives!

Social Studies News week of May 18 & May 26th
Week of May 18th: We'll have 2 assignments due this week to wrap up our unit. The 1st will be a Venn Diagram comparing & contrasting Islam with Judaism--their culture as well as their religion. The 2nd will be Ch. 25 Sec. 3-Cause & Effect assignment. The Venn Diagram will be due on Monday and the Cause & Effect assign. will be due on Wed.
Week of May 26th: We'll be reviewing for our test both on Friday, May 22nd and Tuesday, May 26 in preparation for our unit test on Wed, 5/27th.
Students will have a study guide for that unit test.
