Social Studies News Week of: April 17th

This week in Social Studies, we're diving right back into our unit on Ancient Rome that we started just before break.  We introduced a Simulation project where we will be putting the man (at least one of them) who assassinated Julius Caesar on trial.  The trial will focus not on whether he did it, but answering the questions of: Was it best for Rome that Caesar was assassinated?  Each student in the class has chosen a role in the the simulation and we will be spending a few days this week researching that role.  The tentative date for carrying out the simulation in class is next Thurs. (April 27th.)

In addition, we'll have a couple of assignments due this week:

*Ch. 7 Sec. 1 Assign.--Due Mon.
*Ch. 7 Sec. 2 Assign.--Due Fri.
