Social Studies News Week of: Nov. 14th

This week in Social Studies, we're finishing up our unit on Ancient Greece.  Students presented a Greek Culture Project either at the end of last week or the beginning of this week.  We'll have a few assignments due this week:
Mon: Ch. 6 Sec. 5 Assignment
Wed: Common Assessment II--Alexander the Great (a 1/2-1 page essay on their opinion of Alexander the Great)
Thurs: "Democracy" Assignment

We'll be reviewing towards the end of the week and will have our Greek Unit test on Monday the 21st.

Math News Week of November 14

We will be taking our Chapter 4 Test on Monday. It will be helpful for students to look over their notes and assignments to practice converting between fractions, decimals, and percents. On Tuesday, we will begin our Chapter 5 unit, which focuses on algebraic expressions.

Math News Week of 11/7

This week in 6th grade math we will be continuing to learn about fractions, decimals, and percents. Now that we have learned how to convert between these types of numbers, we will be using this to practice ordering different fractions, decimals, and percents from least to greatest. We will have a quiz on Tuesday and our Chapter 4 Test will be Tuesday, November 15th. Here is a list of our upcoming assignments.
