Social Studies News Week of: Oct. 10th
This week in Social Studies we're introducing a "Roving Reporters" project where students will, in small groups, research a topic related to our current unit (Ancient Egypt.) We'll be working on this all week and be starting presentations on Friday. Here is the link to the project detail sheet.
Students will also had an assignment due on Tuesday of this week (Ch. 3 Sec. 2 Assignment.) This was an in-class assignment.

Math News Week of 10/10
Our Chapter 2 test will be on Tuesday of this week. In addition to our in-class review of multiplying/dividing fractions and mixed numbers, students should spend some time practicing these problems before Tuesday. Later in the week, we will begin our next unit on rates and ratios. Here is a list of upcoming events and assignments!

Math News Week of 10/3
This week in 6th grade math, we are finishing up our unit on multiplying and dividing fractions/mixed numbers. We will spend Friday and next Monday reviewing for our Chapter 2 Test, which will be on Tuesday, October 11th. I encourage students to spend some time practicing these types of problems (don't forget to simplify!). Here is a list of the assignments from this week.
